Hawaiian Jerky recipe
Ingredients:
1 lb of lean meat, thinly sliced.
1 teaspoon of salt.
1 teaspoon of ground ginger.
1 tablespoon of brown sugar.
¼ teaspoon of pepper.
Pinch of cayenne pepper.
1 clove garlic, crushed.
¼ cup of pineapple juice.
¼ cup of soy sauce.
Preparation:
In a small glass bowl, combine all of the ingredients except the meat. Stir to mix thoroughly.
Place meat 3-4 layers deep in a container, spooning sauce mixture over each layer.
Cover tightly and marinate for about 8 hours in your refrigerator, stirring occasionally and keeping the mixture covered.
Layout on trays, 24 to 36 hours in dehydrator.
Once completely dried, store in a zip-lock plastic bag.
